privacy policy
last updated: october 3, 2026
the short version
- we collect what the app needs to work: your account, the ideas you save, the plans you make, and who you make them with.
- your ideas and plans are visible to you and the friends you choose — not to the public.
- we don’t sell your data and we don’t show ads.
- you can delete your account and everything in it from inside the app, any time.
what we collect
- account: when you sign in with apple we receive an identifier and, if you choose to share them, your name and email. you pick a username, which other people can search for.
- things you save and plan: links, titles, images from link previews, categories, notes, dates, ratings, captions, and photos you add.
- social: your friends, friend requests, groups, messages, asks and answers (“i’m in” / “not this time”), and stories (which disappear after 24 hours).
- location (optional): only if you turn on nearby alerts. your phone watches for nearby saved places on the device; we store the coordinates of places you saved, not your movements.
- notifications: a push token so we can send you asks, answers, and reminders, and your device’s time zone so reminders arrive during your daytime, not in the middle of the night.
- photos and camera (optional): only the photos you choose to add.
how we use it
to run the app: show your ideas and calendar, deliver asks and answers to the friends you choose, send notifications, keep the service secure, and act on reports of abuse.
who can see what
- your username and display name are visible to signed-in users so friends can find you.
- your saved ideas, plans, ratings, and photos are visible to your friends. you can turn this off with “share my plans” in settings.
- asks and group messages are visible to the people in them.
- blocked people can’t see your activity or contact you.
service providers
we use google firebase (authentication, database, file storage, cloud functions, and push notifications) to store and process data on our behalf, and apple for sign in with apple and notifications. they process data under their own terms and only to provide these services.
keeping and deleting your data
we keep your data while your account exists. delete your account in profile → delete account and we delete your profile, ideas, photos, plans, friendships, messages, and stories. reports you filed may be kept for safety reasons.
kids
should we? isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
